Happy Birthday to Me

There is nothing better in the world than to wake up in the morning (after having woken up several times during the night thanks to diverse flatmates) and to recognize that it is your birthday. Again. Same procedure as every year.
Apart from the fact that you are shocked how old you are now and how young you were "last" year (although last year you had the same thoughts...), your birth-day is somenthing special. It lightens up your day in many ways:

-you get nice phonecalls (after your telephone hasn't rung for weeks..)

-you receive greetingcards and they do not come from any lottery where you allegedly took part and won a hightech hoover

-you have an excuse for being lazy

-you have an excuse for buying far too expensive food

-you have an excuse for making other people serve you

-you have an excuse for buying beauty-products, because obviously there is no way around at this age now - the first wrinkles have already turned up (now this is also the same point as mentioned last year and still, there is not one wrinkle to see....but we are all sure, there would be lots of them if we had not spent our money in expensive skin treatment...)

.....well, there are much more things to list, but if I continued, I would miss the whole day :)
